Hotel Booking at Villa Cipressi

A room block has been reserved for our guests for 3 nights (June 8-11). You’ll receive an email from Maria on our planning team with room rates to confirm your room.

Getting to Varenna

Milan Malpensa (MXP) is the main international airport and ~1.5 to 2 hrs from Varenna. From Milan, take a train to Varenna-Esino station (see below). Renting a car is possible, but parking is limited, so trains, ferries, or private taxi transfers are best (see "Taxi Transfers” below). Once in Varenna, ferries make it easy to reach Bellagio, Menaggio, and other Lake Como towns.

***Step-by-Step Train Route***

1. From Malpensa Airport to Milan Centrale (train)
Take Malpensa Express train from Malpensa Airport to Milano Centrale station.
50-55 min ride and runs roughly every 30 min.

2. From Milano Centrale to Varenna-Esino (train)
At Milano Centrale, change to a train toward Varenna-Esino.
~1 hr depending on connections and train type.

3. Arrival in Varenna
You’ll arrive at Varenna-Esino train station in the main town.

If you’d prefer to stay elsewhere, Varenna offers other beautiful places just a short walk from Villa Cipressi, including Hotel Royal Victoria, Hotel Olivedo, and local Airbnbs.

Join us for a chic but relaxed evening in Lake Como! Think elevated, colorful, and fun - cocktail or formal attire that embraces the bright, joyful energy of Italy. Feel free to play with bold colors, patterns, and accessories.

Wedding Day – Formal Attire

Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors at Villa Cipressi, overlooking the lake. We’d love for our guests to wear formal attire that feels elegant, while still comfortable for an outdoor celebration. We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing red.

Enoteca Cava Turacciolo

A charming wine bar with a huge wine list, intimate cave-like setting, and adorable outdoor wine-barrel table. Ideal for a tasting flight or rare Italian sparkling wines.

Caffè Varenna

Waterfront spot perfect for sunset aperitivo. Order an Aperol Spritz and enjoy snacks like bruschetta, olives, and taralli. 

Il Cavatappi

Cozy and intimate, known for homemade pasta, tiramisu, and seasonal lake dishes. Outdoor seating adds charm.

Dell’Albergo Du Lac

Villa Monastero

Beautiful botanical gardens and museum housed in a former Cistercian convent with paths overlooking the lake. Only a 5 minute walk from Villa Cpressi!

Castello di Vezio

A scenic hike (~1 hour) above Varenna. Offers jaw-dropping lake views and a cliffside trail leading down to Villa Monastero gardens.

Explore Charming Towns

Bellagio - Called the “Pearl of Lake Como.” Beautiful villas, shops, and waterfront strolls.
Menaggio - Relaxed vibe with a pretty promenade, piazzas, and great gelato.
